Mission Statement: To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

We uphold our mission through 5 core program areas:
character & leadership development
education & career development
sports, fitness & recreation
health and life skills
the arts
We seek to instill a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and positive influence on all youth in our community.

In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and are forced to find companionship in the streets.  An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision.  Young people need to know that someone cares about them.  Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more.  The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Gaston is a youth development organization that serves residents of Gaston County between ages 6 and 18.

Four key characteristics define the essence of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Gaston:

1. Dedicated Youth Facility
The Boys & Girls Club is a place -- an actual neighborhood-based building -- designed solely for youth programs.

2. Open Every Weekday
The Club is open every weekday, after school and into the evening hours when kids need us most.

3. Professional Staff
Every Club has full-time and part-time, trained youth development professionals, providing positive role models and mentors.  Our dedicated volunteers provide key supplementary support and expertise to enhance our services.

4. Available/Affordable to All Youth
Our Clubs reach out to kids who cannot afford, or may lack access to, other community programs.  We strive to keep our fees are low; $20.00 per month during the school year, and no child is ever turned away for lack of ability to pay.
